I don't know. I've heard the whole "looks don't matter/it's what's inside that counts" bit all of my life. (I had comforting parents.)

But when it comes to some things, looks really do matter. Like, oh say, at your wedding, maybe? Even the most enlightened, liberated couples I know still throw around descriptions like "cute" and "beautiful" and "elegant" when they're making their wedding choices.

Wedding favors are a perfect example. Everyone wants to be The Couple that gives out The Favors that their guests will actually use For Years to Come. But come on, what are you going to do?
