    Veil Matching

    Hello,

I am getting married in May, 2006. My dress is made of satin and is a champagne/light mocha color. I was wondering what color veil I should wear. Thank you!

    ~ Sarah

    Hola Sarah,

Champagne is one of my very favorite colors (and beverages!) I love when brides opt for this elegant shade over a bluer/blinding white. But I feel your pain, veering from the white-norm can make matching your accessories a little more difficult. Luckily, our panel has some great ideas:

"While it not necessary to have an elaborate head dressing, you definitely want to have a veil that ties in with and complements your gown...I recommend if you have any beading on your gown you repeat it on your veil. Not too much though, keep it clean & elegant. The style of veil all depends on how you will wear your hair," says Kimberly Clark, the Wedding and Event Producer of drezrehersal Event Planning. Another of our experts, Harriette Rose Katz of Harriette Rose Katz Events/Gourmet Advisory Services recommends another style: "An antique veil is a unique choice and doesn’t have to match your dress exactly."

Let us know what you decide. Remember to send in photos, too!
