Calla Lily Wedding Favors
There is no shortage of charming calla lily wedding favors. If you have chosen this classic flower as part of your wedding theme, you will have no trouble finding elegant favors to provide your guests.
Your best friend in searching for budget-friendly yet attractive calla lily favors is an online shop. The selection will be more extensive than a brick and mortar store and you can order easily any time of the day or night. Moreover, though, it makes for one less thing you have to run around and do is always a help.
Live Bulbs
A darling idea for a calla lily favor is a live bulb. You can order the bulbs in bulk online and wrap them in tulle and ribbon for each guest. When they plant the bulb and again when the flower blooms, they’ll think of you. This is a great eco-friendly idea that ensures no gift goes to waste. Plus, you’re beautifying the planet!
Hip brides are finding that wine accessories are a big hit with guests. You can find calla lily corkscrews, wine charms and wine bottle stopper favors. Each with a different calla lily design, they’ll fit right in with your décor and look great on your tables. And guests will be happy to have something they can use. You can also find wine glasses and champagne flutes with the lily etched or printed on them.
There are a number of choices available in calla lily bookmark favors. Everyone loves a bookmark and again, giving something useful is always a good idea. Every time your guests see that darling bloom popping out above their page, they will think of the great time they had at your wedding.
Capodimonte Sculpture
Capodimonte is a type of porcelain sculpture highly prized for its beauty. The calla lily is an especially popular design for such exquisite handwork. You can offer each couple or each guest a single capodimonte calla lily stem and bloom in a special box or you can offer a trinket box with a sculpted calla lily on it.
Soaps
A nice touch is to offer calla lily blossom soaps. You can put some out in the ladies room at your reception and then have them wrapped in tulle as favors to take home at each place setting. There are petal-shaped soaps and also whole blossoms you can select from.
Set out a sea of calla lilies on the sign-in table where guests will look for their table numbers. There are a number of lovely choices when it comes to table top place card holders with calla lily designs. Each one is a treasure on its own and guests can bring them home at the end of the festivities.
Mini Cakes
Lately, the rage has been to offer guests mini wedding cakes to take home. The two-tier minis can be boxed in a calla lily-themed tin and the cakes themselves can be ordered with icing lilies. This is a charming way to let guests enjoy your theme at home.
You’ll want to make sure to carry your theme out in a gift to your flower girl. She’ll love a special silk-wrapped basket she can take home that’s filled with calla lily shaped chocolates or real petals. And for the ring bearer, have him carry a pillow with your rings attached to a stem of a real or silk blossom. (Send him home with chocolates too!)
Don’t forget yourself!
In addition to the themed favors you can provide your guests, you can carry your theme into other areas of the wedding as well. You can have a unity candle for the head table with calla lilies on it, cake servers with calla lily handles, even a garter belt with a tiny embroidered lily. Your cake topper can be a porcelain calla lily or a couple holding calla lilies. There’s no limit to the details you can add.

Wedding Inspiration for a Purple Passion Color Scheme
When planning a wedding and choosing colors, many brides bring out the usual suspects – pinks, whites, creams, blues, silvers, and even chocolate. But you want something different; you want something that sparkles, that impresses even as it surprises. For you, purple is perfect. Long associated with royalty – because kings and queens were once the only ones who could afford the luxurious dye used to create purple garments – purple is very rich, extremely varied, and always interesting. You could play it safe with soft lavenders, or you begin incorporating some purple passion into your big day.
Light purple colors are lovely, and they can be quite intriguing when paired with shades of pale or baby pink, lime green, powder blue, silver, or gold. Darker hues of purple work well with chocolate, light and darker shades of pink, and darker greens. These are all great options, but consider throwing convention aside and trying a monochromatic theme for your wedding: purple comes in any number of rich, gorgeous shades, and you can combine them for a dramatic, royal affect. Lilac, amethyst, lavender, aubergine, fuchsia, magenta, mauve, violet, wisteria, and other hues can be dramatic and dynamic when arranged in different combinations and accented with simple brown, silver, or cream.
A great purple passion bridal bouquet can be made from lovely wisteria, lilac, lavender double tulips, bluebird roses, pink godetia, and lavender dendrobium orchids. These are arranged with a touch of greenery, such as catmint or varieties of oregano. It is whimsical and elegant. Also try blooms in reds, blues, pinks, chocolate (chocolate cosmos and roses are great choices) or shades of purple.

The bride can opt for a white dress with a sash in her preferred purple hue, while her bridesmaids wear purple dresses with white or a darker or lighter shade of purple sash. Or again, if you really want to embrace the purple passion theme, consider a purple wedding dress. Upon first hearing this, you may think that a purple wedding dress would be hideous: they're not! In fact, they can be very sophisticated and chic. Dita von Teese, for instance, wore a Vivienne Westwood creation of purple silk taffeta that was anything but understated.
But you could also opt for a more sedate – but hardly boring – version. Assepoester makes a couture dress with a sleeveless v-neck top with ruffled neckline and a darker layered skirt. The gray tones literally tone the dress down, while the interesting lines create a thoroughly innovative and chic gown. Bridesmaids would look wonderful in gray or silver dresses.
Men can wear vests and ties of accent colors, such as another shade of purple, silver, cream, or brown, with a purple pocket square; purple tie clips and cuff links; or a purple vest with silver, cream, or brown tie. The men's attire is dependent largely on what the bride and her bridesmaids wear.
Depending on your tone, your reception venue can be decorated with pastel, soft purples and complementing white, cream, and pink tones, or your could go with a darker purple with lots of texture, including dark and light purple and white balloons, scented candles, rich purple table linens, solid white chair covers with purple ties, and other sensuous touches. There are plenty of purple wedding favors to choose from, and you could even opt for purple wedding reception centerpieces as well. There are plenty of ways to subtly tie in purple amongst your other complementary colors.
Purple passion can also extend to your menu. You can feature dishes made with the lavender herb, such as meat dishes, or you can add lavender butter into cupcakes and other desserts. Melt some butter and culinary lavender and dip artichoke leaves in this aromatic mixture. Try a purple signature drink: instead of passing out champagne, give your guests the purple passion for your toast. Simply take your regular champagne, add a splash of blue grape juice and a small handful of blueberries.
Purple is passionate, and its many beautiful hues are ideal for creating a passionate, loving, and fresh wedding.

Pink Wedding Flowers
Brides can incorporate pink wedding flowers with so many fantastic color schemes so I thought I'd put together a collage of some of my favorite bridal bouquet and reception centerpiece selections. Whether you are having a pink and white; pink and chocolate; pink, black and white; or a pink-accented weddings, you have numerous choices when it comes to pink flowers. Pink is a classic, feminine flower choice that is known to signify love and romance so what better choice for a wedding?
You can see some of my favorite pink flower choices in the photo below. If you are on a budget like most brides, then you should consider the season when selecting your pink flowers. For instance, tulips are obviously much more affordable in the Spring, while hydrangea blooms are more affordable in mid to late summer. Other lovely choices include gerbera daisies, carnations, stargazer lilies (my favorite), peonies and of course roses. Pink flowers also work well in mixed bouquets when you want to incorporate a few other colors. Their versatility makes pink one of the most popular colors for bridal flowers today. And how appropriate that this is being posted on Valentine's Day....the perfect day for pink!
