What the heck is XML / RSS ?
The technospeak - Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a lightweight XML format designed for sharing headlines and other Web content. Translation: It's a way for you to get updated every time I post to this blog. Consider it our "What's New", delivered right to your virtual doorstep. If you'd like to be automatically be notified every time there's a new post to the blog, here's how you can use RSS/XML to do so...
Right-click on the orange "XML" button (it's over there on the left) and click on "Copy Shortcut". Then paste that link into your RSS reader. Of course, if you're one of the millions of people who don't yet have an RSS feeder (I didn't!), there are three other options that we recommend.
(1) Use a "My Yahoo!" account
(2) Use Google Desktop to subscribe to the feed.
(3) Click on any of the buttons at the bottom of this page.
In My Yahoo!, you can click on "Add Content," then click on "Add RSS by URL", paste the link into the box, click "Add" and you're all set. Now you'll see all new updates when you log into My Yahoo!.
If you use Google Desktop, open up the sidebar and enter the link into the "Web Clips" section. When the blog is updated you'll see it in the sidebar.
Of course you can always just bookmark us and visit as often as possible - we plan on updating the blog with new and interesting content several times a week.
PLEASE email me by clicking "Contact Us" on the top of the page if you can't get the hang of it. It's a one-time setup pain, but one that's very worth it. By the way, have you visited our forum yet? Come join the discussions! Click here to go to the forum
